The Georgian-American ReproART Center for Reproductive Medicine opened its doors in July 2012. The main focus areas of the clinic include the diagnosis and treatment of all types of infertility, including the advanced use of in vitro fertilization (IVF). ReproART operates in all fields of reproductive health for both women and men. ReproART was founded by Lika Chkonia, who has the most extensive experience with in vitro fertilization in Georgia (30 years) and 8 years of work in IVF clinics in the United States: Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Norfolk, Virginia, USA, and OFRM (Offices for Fertility and Reproductive Medicine NY, NY, USA).
Cross-border reproductive care is quite developed in Georgia, and the legislation on reproductive medicine is lenient, with donation and surrogacy being legally acceptable, making IVF tourism even more attractive for IVF travelers.
