Read moreWhat is Oncological orchidectomy?
Faced with a suspected testicular tumor, surgical removal of the affected testicle allows both treatment of the tumor and precise analysis to guide further treatment. The procedure is performed through a small incision in the groin, under general anesthesia, and lasts approximately thirty minutes. Most patients return home the same day or the next day.
Depending on the analysis results, follow-up or additional treatment may be proposed, but this surgery remains in the vast majority of cases sufficient to treat the disease at an early stage.
