Dr Kaplan Baha Temizgonul
Professional Journey of Dr. Kaplan Baha Temizgonul
Dr. Kaplan Baha Temizgonul is a highly qualified medical professional with an impressive career in the field of surgery. Graduating from Private Tarsus College in 1992 and Abdül Kerim Bengi Anatolian High School in 1999, he laid a strong foundation for his outstanding career.
In 2005, he earned his medical degree from Pamukkale University, where he was exposed to innovative surgical practices, especially in the field of obesity. He played a key role in introducing sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Turkey.
After passing the US Medical Licensing Examination, he continued his career as a physician in a private hospital between 2006 and 2008. From 2009 to 2014, he specialized in general surgery at Bakırköy Training and Research Hospital, where he conducted research on pain in laparoscopic surgery and participated in numerous bariatric surgeries, including gastric surgeries.
During his compulsory service at Kilis State Hospital between 2014 and 2016, he put his surgical skills into practice, including wartime surgery. His advanced English, intermediate German, and beginner Russian language proficiency allow him to effectively communicate with a wide range of patients.
An active member of the Turkish Surgical Society and the Turkish Obesity Surgery Society (TOSS), he also has an affiliation with the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO), attesting to his commitment to medical excellence.
Since the early stages of his career, Dr. Kaplan Baha Temizgonul has been passionate about bariatric surgery, particularly sleeve gastrectomy. In 2016, he joined a leading team in obesity surgery that introduced sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Turkey, marking another milestone in his exceptional medical career.
