HOW DOES THE ROPA IVF PROCESS WORK?

The ROPA IVF process is carried out in a slightly different manner than a regular in-vitro fertilization cycle with one's own eggs:

    FOR THE DONOR:

    1. Ovarian Stimulation: Daily administration of hormones for several days to stimulate the ovaries. Multiple clinic visits for monitoring.
    2. Ovulatory Discharge: Hormone inducing ovulation administered post ovarian stimulation. Painless procedure under sedation.
    3. Ovarian puncture under sedation: Aspiration of ovarian follicles to obtain eggs.

    FOR THE RECIPIENT WOMAN:

    1. Medical Examination: Diagnosis to rule out other causes of infertility.
    2. Endometrial Preparation: Administration of estrogen to prepare the endometrium.
    3. Obtaining sperm sample and in-vitro fertilization process: ICSI technique used for fertilization.
    4. Embryo Culture and Embryo Selection: Continuous monitoring of the embryos' development.
    5. Selection and Embryo Transfer: Transfer of the most viable embryos into the recipient mother's uterus.
